4 out of 10 People Use Combined Accommodation and Car Sharing Services
During the Chuseok holiday period, Socar members were found to have booked accommodations in the Gangwon-do region the most. Among members who booked accommodations through Socar, 4 out of 10 utilized Socar's accommodation and transportation linkage service benefits.
On the 13th, Socar announced these results after analyzing pre-booking data for Socar accommodations and vehicles during the Chuseok holiday period.
The region where Socar members booked accommodations the most was Gangwon-do (20.1%), known for its high accessibility to the metropolitan area and excellent natural scenery. This was followed by Gyeongbuk (9.1%), Gyeonggi-do (8.8%), and Jeonnam (8.5%).
Among members who booked accommodations, 4 out of 10 combined car-sharing during their stay, planning trips that prepare both accommodation and transportation at once. In particular, 7 out of 10 members who booked accommodations in Incheon were found to use Socar's accommodation and transportation linkage service.
The most popular type of accommodation was hotels (38.6%). Motels (36.0%), which can be used at reasonable prices, and pensions (24.5%), where private vacations can be enjoyed, followed. The booking rates by date showed a tendency to concentrate in the early part of the holiday when it officially begins, such as the 14th (35.4%) and the upcoming 15th (30.2%).
