Dynamism and Vitality to the Organization, Field-Centered Services That Make a Real Difference
14 Out of 16 Headquarters Director-Level Positions Appointed from the Field
Completion of Optimal Talent Placement for Realizing the Corporation's New Vision
The Korea Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Service (President Park Jonggil) will implement its 2024 second-half promotions and personnel transfers as of July 1, establishing a virtuous cycle personnel system between headquarters and field offices.
Through this personnel change, six employees at Grade 1 have newly entered headquarters from the field. Since President Park Jonggil’s inauguration on May 30, 2023, a total of 14 out of 16 headquarters executives at director level or above have been selected from the field. Two individuals are still within the period during which transfers are not yet permitted.
Notably, at the headquarters director level, which is the highest rank after executive officers, both individuals were promoted and appointed from branch manager (Grade 1) positions, demonstrating consistent implementation of field-oriented management.
Previously, upon his inauguration, President Park Jonggil introduced the ‘Hope Vision 2030’ project. The new vision for the organization was set as ‘Safety at Workplaces, Stability in Life, and a Happiness Partner for All Workers,’ and management innovation has been pursued to establish a fair and effective industrial accident insurance system.
This round of personnel transfers is seen as an example of the virtuous cycle personnel principle between headquarters and the field, which President Park Jonggil has consistently emphasized through CEO messages to restructure the organization into a more efficient and dynamic entity during this innovation process.
On the same day, personnel changes at the headquarters department head (Grade 2) level were also implemented. A total of 23 people, including six selected from the field and 17 who had held the same position for more than two years, were rotated. This accounts for 50% of the 46 department heads at the Ulsan headquarters.
This is an unprecedented large-scale rotation at headquarters since the organization’s establishment, aimed at fostering convergence and creative ideas through experience in two or more positions. With this personnel change, the placement of talent to realize the organization’s new vision has been completed.
President Park Jonggil emphasized, “As I stated at my inauguration, this personnel change will strengthen field-oriented services for the public by discovering new leaders for the future of the organization and redeploying proven headquarters leaders to the field so that citizens can tangibly experience the difference.”
On March 12, employees and executives of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service gathered the will of labor and MZ employees to declare the new Hope Vision 2030.
