Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the 'Caregiver Family Rest System Volunteer Corps Healing Education' held on the afternoon of the 28th at the auditorium on the 5th floor of the district office annex and greeted the volunteer corps.
About 70 volunteers participating in the 'Caregiver Family Rest System' project attended this healing education. The district provided capacity-building training and a horticulture education program called 'Creating My Own Companion Garden,' offering the volunteers a time of healing.
The 'Caregiver Family Rest System' is operated to provide rest to families bearing the burden of sole caregiving and nursing. Currently, 720 care volunteers are engaged in gap care activities such as companionship, meal assistance, walking, and hospital accompaniment.
Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, said, "I sincerely thank the volunteer corps who deliver great hope to the local community," and added, "We will continue to take the lead in discovering projects to help the elderly and their families, such as the Caregiver Family Rest System and the Happiness Greeting Program."
