Gwanak Sarang Gift Certificates 5% Discount, 11 Billion Won Issued

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will issue 11 billion KRW worth of Gwanak Love Gift Certificates starting from 6 PM on May 8th, in celebration of Family Month in May.

The district planned this issuance to alleviate the burden on residents caused by high inflation, while actively promoting local consumption to increase sales for small business owners and inject significant vitality into the local economy.

Notably, the new change this time is that the purchase and payment of Gwanak Love Gift Certificates will be available not through the existing app but via the newly updated ‘Seoulpay+’ app.

The discount purchase limit is 500,000 KRW per person, with a holding limit of 1.5 million KRW, and the certificates can be purchased in mobile form in units of 10,000 KRW. They can be used at approximately 12,000 affiliated stores within the Gwanak district.

Purchases can be canceled at any time regardless of the period, and for balance refunds, if more than 60% of the certificate is used, the remaining balance excluding the 5% discount support fund will be refunded.

For more details, inquiries can be made to the Seoulpay+ Customer Center, Dasan Call Center, or the Gwanak-gu Office Regional Commercial Revitalization Division.

Meanwhile, since 2020 until last year, the district has actively supported revitalizing the depressed local markets by issuing a total of 187.8 billion KRW in local currency, including ▲Gwanak Love Gift Certificates (163.9 billion KRW) ▲Specially issued gift certificates worth 23.9 billion KRW (Sillim Station Commercial Recovery Gift Certificates (12 billion KRW), Commercial Recovery Special Support Gift Certificates (10 billion KRW), e-Seoul Love Gift Certificates and Gwanak Himkok Gift Certificates (1.9 billion KRW)).

Park Jun-hee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, said, “In celebration of Family Month, we aim to contribute to household stability and increased sales for small business owners through the issuance of Gwanak Love Gift Certificates,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to help the local economy regain vitality amid the sluggish economy.”
