Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced that it conducted a main simulation drill on the 28th, led by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, following a preliminary simulation drill hosted by Gyeongsangnam-do on the 22nd, to establish a rapid and accurate situation reporting system in case of suspected food poisoning patients.
The 'Rapid Reporting Simulation Drill for Food Poisoning Occurrence' is conducted annually by simulating an actual food poisoning incident to practice the processes of occurrence registration, reporting, and dissemination within the food poisoning reporting system. This time, the drill proceeded smoothly, completing the reporting and dissemination within one hour from the simulated food poisoning occurrence.
In particular, Changwon Special City plans to engage in food poisoning prevention education and thorough food hygiene management through ▲ guidance and inspection of food service establishments such as delivery restaurants ▲ comprehensive inspection of school and kindergarten group cafeterias in preparation for the new semester ▲ inspection of daycare center group cafeterias.
Son Gil-gwang, Director of the Health and Hygiene Division, stated, “This simulation drill served as an opportunity to establish a rapid response system in case of food poisoning occurrence. We will do our best to reduce the incidence of food poisoning by strengthening the guidance and inspection management of food hygiene establishments.”
