Pianist Lee Hyuk, who won the piano category at last year's Long-Thibaud International Competition, will take the stage at the "New Year's Eve Concert at the Seoul Arts Center with Woori Bank" on the 31st. In addition to the New Year's Eve Concert, Lee Hyuk plans to have a busy year-end schedule, including participating in the Seoul Arts Center's "Rachmaninoff Series" special performance and performing a duo concert with his younger brother Lee Hyo.

The Seoul Arts Center announced on the 6th that the New Year's Eve Concert will be held at 10 p.m. on the 31st in the Concert Hall. The National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Lee Byung-wook, artistic director of the Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra, will perform Shostakovich's "Festive Overture," Haydn's "Cello Concerto," Stravinsky's "The Firebird," and Russian composer Tsfasman's "Jazz Suite for Piano and Orchestra."

Lee Hyuk will perform Tsfasman's "Jazz Suite for Piano and Orchestra" as a soloist in the first part of the concert. The piece is notable for its rich melodies. Although it is not frequently performed in Korea, it is a lively and brilliant piece often heard at New Year's concerts in Russia.

Before the Seoul Arts Center New Year's Eve Concert, Lee Hyuk will perform a duo concert with his younger brother Lee Hyo at Yeongsan Art Hall on the 26th.

They will perform tango master Piazzolla's "Adios Nonino" and "Libertango," Saint-Sa?ns' "The Carnival of the Animals," and Kapustin's "Sinfonietta," among others.

The Lee brothers plan to donate the proceeds from their duo concert to children's hospitals to support pediatric patients. Lee Hyuk said, "We want to continue sharing love with everyone who enjoys our music, just like last year," asking for support.

The Lee brothers are scheduled to perform the same program as a duo at the Warsaw Philharmonic in Poland on Valentine's Day (February 14) next year.

Lee Hyuk will also grace the final stage of the Seoul Arts Center's "Rachmaninoff Series" on the 28th. This year's special performance at the Seoul Arts Center, filled with Rachmaninoff's works, has featured pianists Sunyul, Bae Je-sung, Yoon Ain, and Kim Su-yeon. Following pianist Kim Do-hyun's performance on the 20th, Lee Hyuk's concert will conclude the series. He will close the event with Rachmaninoff's Piano Sonatas No. 1 and No. 2.
