Cash Donations and Body Exposure...Reported by Another Official
"Only Active Before Appointment After Civil Service Hiring," Explanation Given
A 7th-grade civil servant affiliated with a central government ministry was caught after being reported by another civil servant for working as an internet adult broadcast BJ (host).
According to a YTN report on the 14th, Ms. A, a woman in her 20s and a 7th-grade administrative officer at a central ministry, was recently caught and is under investigation for working as a BJ on an internet adult broadcast. It is reported that Ms. A is a special judicial police officer with investigative authority related to her duties.

In the broadcast, Ms. A smokes and drinks while chatting with viewers who access her channel. When a notification appears that a viewer has supported her with cash-type items, she excitedly says, "What? How many did you give? Wait, wait, 500?"
Suddenly, Ms. A begins to expose parts of her body, and as the content intensifies, the broadcast operator, conscious of the review standards, replaced the screen with the "Youth Illegal Harmful Information Distribution Eradication Clean Campaign" screen. It is understood that the commotion ended after this sanction.
This behavior was exposed after being reported by another civil servant who watched Ms. A’s broadcast. The reporting civil servant told YTN, "It was embarrassing and very shocking," adding, "There were nearly 1,000 viewers at the time, and (Ms. A) repeatedly revealed that she was a civil servant during the broadcast."
Explanation of "Only active before appointment"... Investigation for violation of dignity maintenance, etc.
The ministry that received the report has launched an investigation into Ms. A. They are examining whether she violated professional ethics and the duty to maintain dignity under the Civil Servant Act.
In particular, generating income through internet broadcasting violates the principle of prohibition of concurrent positions under the National Public Officials Service Regulations and may result in severe disciplinary action. Even if permission for concurrent employment was granted, activities must be conducted within the scope of fulfilling the duties and obligations of a civil servant and must not reduce work efficiency.
In response to the controversy, Ms. A reportedly explained that "she only worked as a BJ before receiving her official appointment as a civil servant." However, considering that civil servant status applies from the moment of appointment, this has been criticized as inappropriate conduct.
The ministry stated, "We plan to form a disciplinary committee as soon as the investigation into Ms. A is completed," adding, "The level of disciplinary action will be determined based on the facts."
