On the 7th, the Korea Consumer Agency released the results of tests and evaluations conducted on 12 liquid detergent products.

The products tested and evaluated this time were ▲Gelup Liquid Detergent (Ecotree) ▲No Brand Laundry Detergent 4L (Emart) ▲Downy Laundry Detergent (Korea P&G) ▲Riquo Jinhan Gel for Regular Washing Machines (Aekyung Industrial) ▲Beat Deep Clean Power (Lion Korea) ▲Atosafe Laundry Detergent (Atosafe) ▲Acts Power Gel_A (Pigeon) ▲GL Plus (BND Life & Health) ▲Kirkland Signature Ultra Clean Liquid Laundry Detergent (Costco Korea) ▲Tamsa Power Wash Liquid Detergent (CPLB) ▲Tech Clean & Refresh New (LG Household & Health Care) ▲Persil Power Gel Regular Use (Henkel Home Care Korea).

When testing cleaning performance against common stains such as oil and soil, Downy, Kirkland, and Riquo products showed relatively excellent results.

For stains that are difficult to remove, such as blood and ink, Downy, Kirkland, and Persil products received excellent cleaning performance ratings on both cotton and blended fabrics.

The Riquo product was excellent only on cotton fabric for these stains, while it was rated 'good' on blended fabrics.

Based on the amount of detergent needed to wash 3.5 kg of laundry, the cost per wash was ▲Gelup (40 won) ▲No Brand (53 won) ▲Tamsa (65 won) ▲Acts (89 won) ▲Atosafe (96 won) ▲Riquo (103 won) ▲Beat (111 won) ▲Kirkland (143 won) ▲Downy (328 won).

For contaminants such as sebum secreted from the human body, Downy, Kirkland, and Riquo products were relatively superior.

After testing 26 allergenic substances that can cause allergic reactions in humans and verifying mandatory labeling, all products met the relevant standards.

Regarding labeling compliance, Gelup liquid detergent was confirmed to be 'alkaline' rather than 'mildly alkaline' as indicated by its pH. Atosafe laundry detergent was found to be non-compliant with standards due to its actual content being less than the labeled amount.

Additionally, this survey provided information on cleaning performance by type of stain, enabling consumers to make informed choices.

The Consumer Agency stated, "We plan to recommend improvements to the businesses responsible for products that failed to meet standards and notify relevant authorities of the related issues."
