Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station conducted a response drill on the 18th, simulating a large-scale fire incident.
The drill was carried out assuming a major fire broke out at the concert hall on the first floor of the gymnasium at Gwangju Women's University, with concerns over multiple casualties. Sixty firefighters and twelve fire trucks participated.
The key focus areas were ▲ devising fire suppression plans for different scenarios ▲ developing rescue plans for patients with mobility difficulties ▲ establishing efficient hospital distribution and transport plans for multiple casualties.
Kim Young-il, chief of Gwangsan Fire Station, stated, “We will continue to conduct regular drills to do our best to protect the lives and property of citizens.”
