IDIS Powertel Supplies LTE Walkie-Talkies to BMW Driving Center

Radio communication service provider IDIS Powertel announced on the 7th that it has supplied 110 units of the LTE walkie-talkie ‘RADGER’ Light2 to the BMW Driving Center.

The BMW Driving Program emphasizes the importance of communication between instructors and drivers to convey driving methods and track conditions for safe vehicle operation. Real-time communication through walkie-talkies is essential. However, due to the nature of driving tracks located over a wide area, the conventional walkie-talkies previously used had limitations in communication range.

The LTE walkie-talkie ‘RADGER’ adopts a method of walkie-talkie communication using LTE base stations, unlike conventional walkie-talkies that communicate directly between devices. It provides stable communication coverage without interruption anywhere nationwide. With the introduction of the LTE walkie-talkie ‘RADGER’ at the BMW Driving Center, communication between instructors and program participants has become smoother, and user convenience has been greatly improved.
