According to Jindo Police on the 31st, the training scenario involved a report of a man threatening a woman with a weapon at her home after she wanted to break up. The police chief directly commanded via radio, establishing an all-out response system involving the Women and Juvenile Affairs Division, Criminal Division, 112 Situation Room, and seven police substations, enabling a response from the initial report and dispatch to pursuit and arrest as if in a real situation.
This training focused on enabling the police chief and relevant department heads to quickly assess and command the scene upon receiving reports of dangerous situations such as weapon crimes, ensuring that on-site officers follow instructions to prevent operational shortcomings in advance and take the most appropriate measures.
Chief Park Mi-young stated, “To alleviate public anxiety, we will regularize training for responding to violent crimes and provide the best public safety services that allow residents to feel secure through confident police operations.”
