On the 30th, KB Securities raised the target price of JYP Ent. from 120,000 KRW to 135,000 KRW.
JYP Ent. recorded an operating profit of 42 billion KRW in the first quarter, marking an earnings surprise. It is expected to grow by 14.1% over the next three years. The global fandoms of Stray Kids and TWICE are expanding, serving as cash cows. As the artist pipeline grows and the value of intellectual property (IP) increases, related license revenue is also steadily rising.
In particular, the market's expectations are gathering as the girl group global audition program 'A2K Project' is scheduled to be released through the YouTube channel in the second quarter. KB Securities researcher Lee Seonhwa said, "The success of the K-entertainment system is expected not only to apply to domestic artists but also to be applicable in mainstream music markets such as the United States." She added, "As K-POP gains popularity worldwide, the trainee pool is diversifying, which also contributes to performance stability," and "The advantage is that as the number of debutable artists increases, dependence on a single artist can be reduced."
