You Can't Just Watch Anything When Eating Alone

Do You Know Eating Alone Is More Enjoyable?

You Can't Just Watch Anything When Eating Alone

Sometimes (or rather often), I want to enjoy a comfortable meal alone. Chatting with colleagues (or casual talks) is always enjoyable and brings a joy completely (X2) different from work, but on days when I don’t want to do anything or face anyone, solo dining is the way to go. There are many ways to enjoy eating alone. Usually, I eat while reading webtoons or books, immersing myself in another world, but sometimes I want to listen to stories or conversations of people I don’t know. Moreover, it even gives me the illusion of becoming smarter with unexpected information and useful tips. Here are my personal channels to enjoy while eating alone?trust me and follow along.

Munhakdongne

Since this channel is run by a publishing company, you might think it only offers book-related information, but it actually has a lot of really interesting content. Interviews with authors you rarely get to meet, lectures on classics are fun, but what I find most substantial is . From segments introducing brick-sized books and books that revive your romantic cells to the book playlist where authors share music along with books, it’s fascinating. You can also watch various unmissable book talks, so if you love books, this is a channel you absolutely cannot miss. If you’re unsure where to start reading, you can find brief summaries and interesting points through the videos, which is very helpful.

Apat

I don’t know the first thing about economics, but the only channel I consistently watch is Apat. It’s divided into two segments, so you can enjoy the style of content you like, but honestly, both segments are rich and fun. The two hosts, LK Hosu (Announcer Kim Hosu) and CEO Gil Geonwoo (FR Asset Management), who seem very friendly, explain difficult stock topics in a very simple way. The important thing is that they pinpoint stocks that are good to buy right now along with market trends. You can also get information about companies like Samsung, Apple, LG Electronics, which is useful. Watching the two chat so enjoyably feels like just observing a casual conversation, but somehow I feel smarter afterward, and I feel proud. It’s so fun that I wanted to keep it to myself, but now I hope many people know about it and it becomes famous. Their witty talk might confuse you whether your food is going down your nose or your eyes, so keep your spoon firmly in your mouth!

While the previously introduced segment is a relaxed stock talk, is a talk show format featuring economic experts. Renowned experts appear, surprising even those who know nothing about economics. Professors Kim Youngik, Han Mundo, Center Director Lee Jongwoo, and Dr. Kim Hanjin have appeared. Recently, Park Soonhyuk, known as the “Battery Uncle,” appeared and it was super fun..! Economic creator Shin Ji-eun asks the questions I’m curious about, giving me vicarious satisfaction sometimes. Of course, there are many other economics-related YouTube channels. But since this channel avoids stiff atmospheres and incomprehensible talks from experts in suits, even those who know nothing about economics can enjoy it without burden, so I hit ‘subscribe’ on the Apat channel. If you find economics boring or want to understand it but feel it’s difficult, you won’t regret watching it. By the way, there’s also an ongoing event giving out Millie’s Library coupons, so hurry up and go!

Minumsa TV

Honestly, I enjoy Minumsa TV more than Munhakdongne. The content is more fun, and there’s a variety of things to watch in each segment. ‘Unboxing’ is a segment where Minumsa employees’ tastes and the gift bundles targeted by Manager Jo Aran (aka Abu) are unpacked, which is always refreshing. Moreover, the way Manager Jo Aran (aka Abu) introduces books is so appetizing that the books she introduces soon end up in my shopping cart. The process of enjoying projects with colleagues, not the harsh company life (was I the only one feeling harsh...), is also fun. It evokes empathy and laughter, but before you know it, you’ve absorbed profound knowledge about books! I also really liked the segment where overseas literature team member Park Hyejin introduces classic literature authors (Osamu Dazai, Albert Camus) in 10 minutes, and these days, Kim Minkyeong and she are conveying the hidden charms of classics through the ‘World Literature Collection World Cup.’ You can also hear the behind-the-scenes stories of the publishing company and watch relaxed interviews with authors, so hurry and head over to Minumsa TV right now.
