Jangheung-gun Presents 'Hope Growing House No. 42' Gift

Completion Ceremony of Hope Nurturing Housing Unit 42 Held

Sponsored by Institutions, Social Organizations, Welfare Foundations, and Local Businesses

Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Seong) announced on the 16th that it held a completion ceremony for the 42nd Hope House.


To complete the 42nd Hope House, nine organizations and groups joined forces.


These organizations and social groups gifted a safe and clean home to a low-income family living in poor conditions, with one side of the house collapsed and no heating facilities.

The completion ceremony was attended by Governor Kim Seong, Wang Yunchae, Chairman of the Jangheung-gun Council, Kim Donggeuk, Secretary General of the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, Hong Seunghu, PD of EBS Nanum 0700, Park Jieun, Manager of Happyga, Kang Insu, Chairman of the Jangheung Regional Architects Association, Park Jonghwan, CEO of Ildeung Environment, and other representatives of sponsoring organizations and village residents.


The Busan-myeon Community Security Council, Handulhoe (Busan-myeon Social Group Leaders Meeting), Nimpman Ibul, Samsung Electronics, and others prepared congratulatory gifts such as furniture, home appliances, blankets, and dish sets to celebrate the move-in.


The Hope Welfare Team of the Jangheung-gun Resident Welfare Division connected the target household, living in poor housing conditions with one side of the house collapsed and no heating facilities, to external welfare foundations, broadcasters, and sponsors.


With secured sponsorship funds of 80 million KRW, they completed a safe and warm 60㎡ house with 2 rooms, a living room combined with a kitchen, a bathroom, and a utility room.


The construction cost was covered by 30 million KRW from the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea’s Housing Matching Grant Project, EBS Nanum 0700, individual sponsors, and Happyga.


The Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation provided boundary and subdivision surveying, Jiu Architects of the Jangheung Regional Architects Association handled architectural design and permits, Ildeung Environment Co., Ltd. supported demolition and waste disposal, and Geonwoo Enterprise donated architectural talent. Construction began in December last year and the completion ceremony was held on the 16th.


Governor Kim Seong said, “I deeply thank the various organizations and groups that helped with the construction,” and added, “We will continue to strive to improve the housing welfare of local residents.”
