DA Technology Signs 2.6 Billion KRW Secondary Battery Equipment Supply Contract... "Will Continue Winning Orders"

DA Technology announced on the 28th that it has signed a supply contract worth 2.6 billion KRW for secondary battery assembly process equipment with U&SEnergy. With this, the current order backlog is approximately 80 billion KRW.

DA Technology plans to produce and deliver secondary battery assembly process equipment by October. Starting with this order, the company expects to continue a full-scale order streak for stacking, notching, cylindrical assembly equipment, and more. In particular, since it plans to more than double its production capacity (CAPA) this year, the volume it can handle is expected to increase further.

U&SEnergy, to which DA Technology is supplying equipment this time, is a specialized company developing safe lithium-ion secondary batteries applying intelligent current collectors.

U&SEnergy’s intelligent current collectors significantly increase the resistance of the current collector during a short circuit, thereby reducing the short-circuit current and suppressing temperature rise. This has attracted attention as it can reduce the explosiveness of lithium-ion secondary batteries.

A company official explained, “Recently, investments by not only domestic but also global battery manufacturers have been expanding further,” and added, “Full-scale orders are expected from April, and we forecast orders worth 150 billion KRW this year.”
