[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Taewon] Yonsei University announced on the 14th that Professor Lee Jung-hoon of the Graduate School of Information has been inaugurated as the 32nd president of the Korea Society of Innovation Management and Economics (KOSIME). The term is one year.


The Korea Society of Innovation Management and Economics is the first interdisciplinary society that deals with science and technology innovation based on management, economics, and policy. It was established in 1992 to contribute to the establishment of national science and technology policies and development strategies. Currently, more than 2,300 members are active.


Professor Lee is a leading global smart city expert, currently serving as a working member of the National Data Policy Committee, a member of the Public Data Strategy Committee, chair of the Open and Utilization Expert Committee, and a member of the National Smart City Committee.


Regarding his inauguration, Professor Lee said, "I will fulfill the role of a platform for cooperation and communication to prepare policy proposals to the government in order to create a national-level technology innovation model that can respond to social changes in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution." He added, "As the society is a leading academic organization in the field of innovation management and economics in Korea, I plan to make efforts to reflect diverse perspectives and voices."
