According to the investment banking (IB) industry on the 2nd, Park is currently working as an investment analyst at Dt& Investment, a venture capital (VC) affiliate of Dt&C Group. Born in 1992, Park has built experience at Dasan Networks’ U.S. subsidiary ‘DZS’ and ‘Startup Tree’ before pursuing a career as a venture capitalist.

Park’s main investment areas are software (SW), artificial intelligence (AI), and technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT). He is active as a junior-level member among the 11 members of the investment division, including CEO Lee Seung-seok. Since his investment career is still short, he is reported to have no notable track record yet.

Established in 2015, Dt& Investment is a 100% subsidiary of Dt&C. It is a mid-sized house with assets under management (AUM) of 300 billion KRW, now in its ninth year. The company focuses on discovering businesses that bring changes to lifestyles. In particular, it has been betting on companies related to bio, information and communication technology (ICT), and agricultural food sectors.

The largest shareholder of Dt& Investment is the KOSDAQ-listed company Dt&C. It is a 100% owned subsidiary. The largest shareholder of Dt&C is Park Seong-ho’s father, Park Chaekyu, chairman of Dt&C Group. He holds 38.50% of Dt&C’s shares. The governance structure follows ‘Park Chaekyu → Dt&C → Dt& Investment.’

Dt&C started in 1999 with Digital EMC, founded by Chairman Park. After working at LG Electronics and Japan’s Tokin EMC Engineering, Park launched the company. He entered the testing and certification industry, which was unfamiliar in Korea at the time. The business grew by providing testing, analysis, and certification services for products in ICT, Internet of Things (IoT), industrial equipment, home appliances, medical devices, automobiles, nuclear power, aerospace, defense, railroads, and ships.

Dt&C affiliates include Dt& Investment, Labti, DCJ, Dt&C R&O, Dt& Vina (Vietnam subsidiary), Dt&C Sanomedics, Dt&C China (China subsidiary), SafeSoft, and a total of nine companies. Notably, Dt&C R&O attracted attention by entering the KOSDAQ market in November last year as the fourth domestic clinical trial contract research organization (CRO).

The industry is paying attention to Park’s moves, as there is a possibility he will join the affiliates after gaining investment experience.
