Criticism Mentioning '24th Congress 66' in Poll Results
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] Former National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won urged President Yoon Seok-yeol to undergo a personnel reshuffle, saying "public sentiment (民心) has changed, and the will of heaven (天心) has also changed."
On the 7th, Park posted on his Facebook, "Who among the people does not wish for the success of the president and the country?" and added, "Since the president has heard this and the ruling party and government also know, why does he not step forward saying 'It is my fault'?"
He continued, "If the president knew about the '24 to 66' ratio, I earnestly urge him to start with a public apology and personnel reorganization as his first words upon returning from vacation."
Earlier, on the 4th, Park also emphasized on CBS Radio that "It is the president's duty to boldly reorganize his aides to present a new team, new vision, and new hope, and this would be evaluated as a successful national administration plan during this vacation," stressing the need for personnel reform.
The '24 to 66' refers to a recent public opinion poll result. According to Gallup Korea on the 5th, a survey of 1,001 people conducted from the 2nd to the 4th showed that 24% responded that President Yoon is "doing well," while 66% responded that he is "not doing well."
The margin of error is ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level. The survey was conducted via telephone interviews with 90% mobile and 10% landline, and the response rate was 11.7%. For more details, please refer to the website of the Central Election Poll Deliberation Commission.
