Summer Promotion - Discount Benefits for Ocean World Users Among Gangwon Residents and Chuncheon Citizens

[Asia Economy Reporter Yongjun Cho] Daemyung Sono Group's Sono International announced on the 21st that it will operate a summer season promotion offering up to 40% discount on the fare for the Chuncheon Samaksan Lake Cable Car (hereinafter Samaksan Cable Car) during July and August.

This promotion is available to customers who purchase tickets at the Samaksan Cable Car on-site ticket office until the 31st of next month.

First, Chuncheon citizens who want to use the Samaksan Cable Car can receive a 40% discount on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and a 30% discount on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). For other Gangwon Province residents, a 20% discount on weekdays and a 10% discount on weekends will be applied respectively. Customers need to present an ID that verifies their residence when purchasing tickets.

At the same time, Sono International is running the Ocean gaGO! Cable Car taGO! promotion, which offers discounts on fares to customers who have visited Vivaldi Park Ocean World (water park) during the summer vacation season.

The number of people on the Ocean World visit receipt determines the number of benefits, and the discount rates are 30% on weekdays and 20% on weekends respectively.

Meanwhile, the Samaksan Cable Car, which operates on a 3.61 km section with Uiam Lake and Samaksan Mountain as the backdrop, is the longest cable car in Korea and opened last October.
