[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] Kim Nam-guk, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea from the 'Pro-Lee Jae-myung faction,' directly criticized former co-interim committee chair Park Ji-hyun's bid for party leader, saying, "Park Ji-hyun's candidacy privilege clearly goes against fairness and common sense."

On the 3rd, Kim stated on Facebook, "I naturally assumed that since she was considering running in the party convention, she met the candidacy requirements according to the party constitution and regulations."

He added, "It's truly absurd that she decided to run without even qualifying for the candidacy requirements, and is asking for a special exception solely for herself. Emphasizing strict principles to others while demanding special privileges for oneself is far from the 'youth politics' that rejects privilege and stresses fair competition."

He also said, "It is really hard to understand such behavior of boldly demanding this on broadcast. I wonder if she is trapped in excessive self-consciousness and her own world," and advised, "Compared to Park Ji-hyun, Lee Jun-seok, the People Power Party leader who is rumored to be arrogant and dogmatic, cannot even hold a candle. I sincerely hope she becomes more humble."

He then addressed the party leadership, saying, "Granting exceptions only to former committee chair Park clearly goes against 'fairness and common sense.' There is absolutely no reason to allow exceptions. The backlash from party members and the 2030 youth generation is obvious, and the party will only be stigmatized as one without principles."

He emphasized, "I hope they stop the politics of stubbornness and tantrums. I urge her to immediately stop the politics of insisting she alone is right, framing the Democratic Party as refusing to reflect or rejecting innovation and reform when her demands are not met, and using that to attack the party while promoting herself in the media."

He also criticized Park Ji-hyun, saying, "She appears to have no genuine care or love for the Democratic Party, only seeking her own political interests and position."
