Sinan Gijeom Soakdo, Pilgrim's Island Guesthouse Opening

5 Rooms... Maximum Capacity of 40 People per Day

[Sinan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, has opened a guesthouse on Gijeom Soakdo Island in Jungdo-myeon, known as the Pilgrim's Island.

The guesthouse, which opened on the 18th, has a total of 5 rooms: four 4-person rooms and one 8-person room, accommodating 24 people. Including the existing 16-person guesthouse, it can accommodate up to 40 people per day.

Additionally, auxiliary facilities such as a cafe, specialty product shop, and restaurant have been prepared for visitors' convenience. After a pilot operation, it was opened to provide rest and travel convenience for visitors who want to stay amidst the serene scenery where the beautiful island and the architectural art works of the 12 apostles harmonize.

A county official stated that the Pilgrim's Island guesthouse will serve as a tourism product for Gijeom Soakdo, providing visitors with a safe and comfortable shelter and contributing to increasing local income through efficient and stable operation.

Meanwhile, Gijeom Soakdo on Pilgrim's Island, a small island village with 108 residents, is emerging as another representative tourist destination in Sinan, attracting about 53,000 travelers annually.
