[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol has narrowed down the site for relocating the Blue House to two locations: the Gwanghwamun Government Seoul Office, where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is housed, and the Yongsan Ministry of National Defense building.
On the afternoon of the 17th, President-elect Yoon held a meeting with transition committee chairman Ahn Cheol-soo and members of the planning coordination and foreign affairs and security subcommittees, deciding on this matter.
Spokesperson for the president-elect Kim Eun-hye stated, "President-elect Yoon and the meeting participants, after a meeting from 5:45 PM for 1 hour and 15 minutes, narrowed down the candidate sites for relocating the Blue House to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of National Defense buildings." She added, "The transition committee members will visit the sites tomorrow afternoon for inspection."
