Debuting as a Joint Girl Group by HYBE and Source Music
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Source Music, a label under HYBE, announced on the 14th that it has signed exclusive contracts with Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chaewon, former members of the group IZ*ONE.
Through an official statement on the same day, Source Music stated, "The two artists have signed exclusive contracts based on mutual trust with our company, and they are scheduled to debut as the first girl group launched through the collaboration between HYBE and Source Music."
Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chaewon were members of the girl group IZ*ONE, formed through Mnet's girl group survival program 'Produce 48.' Miyawaki Sakura, originally from Japan, previously debuted as a member of the girl group AKB48 in her home country.
Since last year, there have been ongoing rumors in the music industry about Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chaewon joining HYBE's new girl group as members.
