On the 24th, according to the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, Kim Soo-young, chairman of the Gapyeong Medical Foundation, pledged a donation of 100 million won, joining the effort to spread a culture of sharing.
Before joining the Honor Society, Chairman Kim had shown a consistent interest in local community medical care and welfare development and had communicated about welfare projects.
In December last year, he donated a total of 60 million won, combining a personal donation of 30 million won with a corporate donation of 30 million won from the Gapyeong Medical Foundation.
Chairman Kim said, “I have reflected on sharing together with the Gapyeong Medical Foundation for the development of medical care and welfare for the citizens of Gwangju,” adding, “Starting with joining the Honor Society this time, I will continue to strive to make Gwangju a warmer and better city to live in.”
