‘TVING K-Con Festa’ Surpasses 1 Million Participants... Extended Until November 30


[Asia Economy Reporter Joeslgina] Domestic online video service (OTT) TVING announced on the 19th that it will extend the promotion period by 10 days until November 30 to celebrate surpassing 1 million participants in the ‘TVING K-Con Festa’.


This is due to the confirmed strong popularity, with more than 1 million people participating in the ‘TVING K-Con Festa,’ which offers the TVING annual subscription at a 41% discounted price through the event page within TVING. The annual subscription purchase rate provided through the TVING K-Con Festa is showing an increase of more than 35% compared to the previous year.


TVING will also release the first episode of the original series 'Love Catcher in Seoul' for free during the TVING K-Con Festa.


This TVING K-Con Festa promotion consists of three themes: ▲ K-Con Market (41% discount on unlimited pass) ▲ K-Con Taste Test (K-Con taste test) ▲ K-Con Theater (TVING anticipated releases).


First, at the K-Con Market, TVING Standard and Premium annual subscriptions are available at a 41% discounted price of 77,000 KRW and 99,000 KRW, respectively. When purchasing a subscription, users receive 100% CGV discounts, CJ The Market vouchers and discount coupons, LF Mall discount coupons, and can also participate in a prize event (home appliances).


The K-Con Taste Test is a test to find out K-content viewing preferences, with more than 70,000 participants. Similar to an MBTI survey, it consists of 12 questions and categorizes content viewing types into 16 types. Based on the test results, users can check TVING recommended content and companion viewing chemistry types.


Through the K-Con Theater, the first episode of the TVING original ‘Love Catcher in Seoul,’ which will be released at 4 PM on the 22nd, can be watched for free. Additionally, TVING is holding an event where 100 users who watch the original lineup introduction video will receive Starbucks Americano coupons.

Since launching as an independent corporation from CJ ENM last October, TVING has focused its efforts on expanding subscribers through strengthening original content, with subscribers tripling in just one year. This year, it has provided about 30 original and exclusive contents such as 'Girls' High School Mystery Club,' 'Shark: The Beginning,' 'Transit Love,' 'Yumi's Cells,' and 'Drunk City Women.'
