[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Seohyun] Firefighters who took photos of a civilian woman and shared them in a work-related group chat, exchanging obscene conversations, have received warnings.

On the 31st, Incheon Jungbu Fire Station announced that it issued warnings to three individuals, including Fire Lieutenant A, for violating the duty to maintain dignity.

Earlier, the fire authorities began an internal investigation into A and others after receiving a complaint through the National Petition System. The investigation revealed that Fire Lieutenant A shared a photo taken in March of a civilian woman’s back in an online group chat with team members.

Two other team members were found to have engaged in inappropriate conversations mentioning the victim woman, saying things like "I want to drink the coffee she served while wearing a bikini."

The fire authorities initiated an investigation into A and others and, judging the misconduct to be minor, issued warnings.

A Jungbu Fire Station official stated, "It has been confirmed that three firefighters were involved in the inappropriate conversation," and added, "Internal training will be conducted to prevent recurrence."
