[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Nikon Imaging Korea announced on the 13th the high-magnification zoom lens “NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 VR,” compatible with APS-C format (DX format) mirrorless cameras adopting the Z mount.
The NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 VR is approximately a 7.8x high-magnification zoom lens, characterized by its high portability and wide focal length range, making it useful for shooting various scenes. The product has a total length of 90mm and weighs 315g, supporting a focal length range from ultra-wide 18mm to telephoto 140mm, enabling everything from everyday snapshots to travel photography.
Additionally, it can consistently deliver high resolution regardless of focal length or shooting distance, making it highly versatile for both photo and video shooting. Furthermore, the minimum focusing distance at the widest angle position is 0.2m, allowing dramatic close-up shots such as table photos, and it supports 5 stops of vibration reduction, helping users stay more immersed in their work even in situations prone to camera shake, such as telephoto shooting or low-light environments.
Moreover, it effectively reduces angle shifts during zoom in/out and focus adjustments, enabling easier production of high-quality videos. Users can assign desired functions to the control ring for fast and convenient shooting, and the inclusion of a stepping motor allows precise and quiet AF (autofocus) operation.
Jae-hwan Jung, CEO of Nikon Imaging Korea, said, “The NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 VR’s strength lies in its ability to capture various subjects from landscapes to portraits in both photos and videos with just one lens,” adding, “We expect this new product to provide great satisfaction to those looking for a lens that combines high portability with wide usability.”
