Da-yeong Lee Faces Secret Marriage and Domestic Violence Allegations Following Recent Husband A's Revelations

[Asia Economy Online Issue Team] Volleyball player Lee Da-young's past expression of affection toward singer Lim Young-woong is being reexamined. This comes after it was belatedly revealed that she married in 2018 and became embroiled in domestic violence controversies.
In May of last year, Lee Da-young revealed in an interview with the YouTube channel 'On Mic' that she is a fan of Lim Young-woong, saying, "How do I look, Young-woong?" She also sent a video letter expressing her fandom, saying, "I like you," and "Please buy me a meal just once, Young-woong."
In another interview with a sports media outlet alongside her sister Lee Jae-young, Lee Da-young also showed her affection for Lim Young-woong. She said, "I got hooked on Lim Young-woong while watching 'Love Call Center' and 'Mr. Trot' with my mom," and added, "I want to contact Lim Young-woong often. I sent him a direct message (DM) on Instagram." Lee Jae-young then asked, "Does he not read it?" to which Lee Da-young replied, "Yeah."
Recently, as Lee Da-young faced school violence controversies followed by secret marriage and domestic violence allegations, netizens reacted to the past video where she mentioned Lim Young-woong with comments such as "Lim Young-woong has an eye for people," and "Lim Young-woong almost got into big trouble."
Earlier, Lee Da-young's husband revealed in a TV Chosun interview on the 8th that "He registered the marriage three months after meeting Lee Da-young in April 2018, but less than a year later, the marriage became hell due to excessive habitual verbal abuse." He disclosed conversations with Lee Da-young via messenger and claimed that he was diagnosed with depression, panic disorder, and insomnia due to her verbal abuse and is still undergoing treatment.
On the 9th, Lee Da-young's side issued a statement through a law firm, denying the allegations and stating, "As a precondition for divorce, he repeatedly made unreasonable economic demands such as asking for real estate owned by the client (Lee Da-young) before marriage or 500 million won," and added, "(Mr. A) continuously harassed the client by threatening to expose details about their married life, exploiting the fact that the client is a public figure."
In response, Mr. A rebutted again, saying, "Including the cohabitation period, it lasted about a year, and I bore all the costs for the newlywed house deposit, home appliances, and living expenses," and clarified that he requested living expenses used during the cohabitation period, not 500 million won, from Lee Da-young.
Meanwhile, the twin sisters Lee Jae-young and Da-young recently signed contracts with the Greek women's volleyball team PAOK Thessaloniki and are scheduled to depart on the 16th.
