[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Global home furnishing company IKEA will hold the world's first virtual global home tour, the 'IKEA Festival,' live online for 24 hours starting at 3 PM on the 16th.

The IKEA Festival is a new format global festival where ordinary homes, studios, and neighborhoods around the world transform into stages for experiences and performances. It was planned as part of efforts to provide new inspiration for better and sustainable living, especially as life at home has become more important than ever.

Under the vision of "creating a better everyday life for the many people," IKEA plans to open the door to new home furnishing experiences by offering various experiential content set in over 100 homes across more than 50 countries worldwide.

A total of 24 episodes featuring musicians, chefs, designers, creators, and other celebrities showcasing their homes as stages will be released hourly.

Highlights include ▲home tours by designers who have collaborated with IKEA such as Ilse Crawford and Virgil Abloh ▲home concerts by famous artists like MØ and Niki performing in their own homes ▲home cooking classes featuring various era-specific dishes by star chefs like Paul Svensson ▲and Shopping Mate, where viewers can explore fresh home furnishing ideas while touring IKEA stores.

The full program can be found on the official IKEA Festival global website. The IKEA Festival is free to join for anyone through the official website without any registration process, and participants can rewatch any desired programs and spaces anytime after the festival ends.
