[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Online video service (OTT) Watcha announced on the 13th that it has expanded the number of contents supporting Korean subtitles to over 150 titles and will continue to increase them to enhance viewing convenience.
According to Watcha, as of the 13th, the contents supporting Korean subtitles available on Watcha include a total of 156 titles, consisting of 153 movies and 3 series. Not only globally acclaimed Korean films such as "Parasite," "The Handmaiden," "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance," and "Oldboy," but also cinephile-favored works like "Yoonhee" and "Our Body" support Korean subtitles, attracting attention. In particular, more than 130 titles have added Korean subtitles since last month, rapidly expanding the range of content with Korean subtitle support.
In addition to the fantasy mystery drama "Woori the Shaman Gadu-sim," which has recently been released on Watcha and attracted attention, all episodes of "The World of the Married" and "Ppongdang Ppongdang LOVE" can be viewed with Korean subtitles. There are 13 titles that support closed captions, which include not only dialogue but also all sound information, including "I Can Speak," "Our Happy Time," and "Tunnel."
Watcha plans to continue lowering the barriers to content viewing and enhancing viewing convenience through various methods, including Korean subtitle support.
