89.4% of Mutual Aid Member Companies Agree on Extending Business Period
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 14th that a satisfaction survey conducted on 612 companies enrolled in the Youth Employee Tomorrow Savings Deduction showed a 91% satisfaction rate.
The satisfaction survey, commissioned by SBC to the professional research agency Korea Gallup Research Institute, was conducted from April 19 to the end of May and involved 612 representatives and HR managers of companies directly bearing the Tomorrow Savings Deduction contributions.
The survey consisted of eight items: overall satisfaction, help with long-term retention of workers, assistance with business performance, improvement in employee job satisfaction, impact on corporate image, intention to additionally enroll, suggestions for program improvement, and the necessity of program extension.
The results showed that 91% of respondent companies were satisfied with the deduction program. Additionally, 85.8% responded that it helped with long-term retention of young workers, and 73.4% said it contributed to business performance. Responses indicating increased employee job satisfaction after the introduction of the Tomorrow Savings Deduction reached 87.3%.
Furthermore, 85.1% of respondent companies said the Youth Employee Tomorrow Savings Deduction positively influenced their corporate image. When asked about the intention to additionally enroll, 83% expressed willingness to do so.
In particular, regarding the Youth Employee Tomorrow Savings Deduction, which is set to sunset this year, 89.4% responded that an extension of the program’s sunset is necessary.
Kim Hyung-soo, Head of the Job Division at SBC, stated, "The Youth Employee Tomorrow Savings Deduction is a program partially funded by government finances, providing greater benefits to workers. SBC will closely consult with financial authorities and related ministries based on policy demands identified from small and medium enterprises and young workers to find ways for more young people to benefit."
