[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] Kolon Global is advancing the service of its self-developed home Internet of Things (IoT) platform, ‘Smart Haneulchae IoK’.
Kolon Global announced on the 20th that it has signed agreements with five ICT (Information and Communication Technology) companies, including the three mobile carriers KT, SK Telecom, LG Uplus, and Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, in addition to the existing online portal Naver, for the Haneulchae IoK interworking service.
Residents of Haneulchae apartments can remotely control Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics smart home appliances using the ‘Haneulchae IoK’ application. They can also use AI (Artificial Intelligence) voice recognition speakers such as KT’s ‘Giga Genie’, SK Telecom’s ‘NUGU’, LG Uplus, and Naver’s ‘Clova’.
Additionally, it provides lifestyle pattern customized services based on user conditions. Depending on scenarios set by individual family members, users can experience various automation modes according to daily patterns such as waking up, going out, returning home, sleeping, and situations like vacation, studying, exercising, and watching movies. They can also check various lifestyle information such as unmanned parcel arrivals, vehicle entry, visitor vehicle reservation notices, weather, and energy usage.
The ‘Haneulchae IoK’ mobile version is also planned to be upgraded within the first half of the year. Functions such as reservation for efficient use of shared facilities within the complex, communication services among residents, and resident voting within the complex will be added, and the design will be improved.
Kolon Global plans to strengthen O2O (online-to-offline) services in the future and add functions such as consumables management service, car sharing, electric vehicle charging system, and shared market.
A Kolon Global official said, “We will quickly develop and apply cutting-edge technologies reflecting changes in residents’ lifestyles,” adding, “Haneulchae IoK is also evolving so that all devices in the home can communicate with users and provide proactive services.”
