[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] There has been an allegation that a man engaged in obscene behavior at an apartment complex library in Cheonan.
On the 12th, the Facebook page "Delivering from Cheonan" posted, "A man who appeared to be a middle or high school student masturbated while looking at girls in the library of an apartment in Cheonan."
In the photos released by the informant, the man was wearing a black T-shirt, gray sweatpants, and black horn-rimmed glasses. In another photo, the man was seen behind a bookshelf about waist-high, looking across while pulling down his pants and engaging in obscene behavior.
The informant claimed, "He falsified the entry log and his identity could not be found, so I reported this," adding, "(He) masturbated continuously for four hours from 12 PM to 4 PM on May 8."
He continued, "Not only in this apartment but also in other apartments, we need to take preventive measures to protect children from potential harm. We must catch him," and said, "Before another Jo Doo-soon emerges, we need to root this out, so please help."
As this fact became known, netizens expressed outrage. One netizen said, "It's so shocking, but what's even more surprising is that I've seen men behaving like this in public places multiple times in my life. Please do not overlook these incidents and punish them severely. Sexual crimes against young children are especially horrifying," they lamented.
Other netizens also expressed concern and anger, saying things like, "This could lead to bigger sexual crimes," "He should be caught quickly and receive treatment programs," and "Please, sexual crimes, especially child sexual crimes, must be eradicated."
However, it is not yet known whether the informant has reported this to the investigative authorities.
