[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Jennifer, the eldest daughter of Microsoft (MS) founder Bill Gates, attracted attention by posting a family photo excluding her father Bill Gates on social media (SNS) on the 9th (local time) to mark Mother's Day.

In particular, this post was made after the announcement of their parents' divorce, and various speculations are rampant about the family photo without father Bill Gates.

The family photo Jennifer posted on Instagram shows her mother Melinda, younger brother Rory, and youngest sister Phoebe standing side by side, with father Bill Gates absent.

Jennifer wrote in the post, "Always our queen, hero, and mom."

Some interpret this as the eldest daughter harboring feelings of disappointment toward her father regarding the parents' divorce.

Shortly after the divorce announcement on the 3rd, Jennifer stated, "This is a difficult time for all of our family," and added, "I will not make any comments related to the divorce."

Until recently, Jennifer mostly posted photos of her fianc?, horseback riding, and exercising rather than family photos on Instagram.

Previously, at her college graduation in 2018, she posted a family photo including Bill Gates and four other family members, and also shared a childhood photo of her father reading a book to her in bed.

Jennifer majored in Human Biology at Stanford University and is currently attending the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.

Melinda, who is also involved in the divorce, posted on her Instagram account on the 9th a photo taken when their three children were young, along with the caption, "I am glad to be the mother of these children."

Bill Gates, who will now be her ex-husband, was also absent from this photo.
