[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] Actor Cha Tae-hyun opened up about his feelings during his period of self-reflection following the betting golf controversy.
On the 21st, a video titled "When Kim Gura, who likes golf, met Cha Tae-hyun" was released on the YouTube channel 'GuraCheol'.
In the released video, Cha Tae-hyun shared about his recent life during the hiatus, saying, "I exercised alone and walked a lot along the Hangang River. Naturally, I wore a watch that counted my steps. While resting, I thought a lot and heard various stories."
Cha Tae-hyun said, "Everyone cheered me on and offered words of comfort. PDs also sent many messages. It was embarrassing," adding, "Anyway, I was the one who made a mistake, but since people kept comforting and encouraging me, I felt a bit ashamed."
Earlier, Cha Tae-hyun was embroiled in a betting golf suspicion in March last year and withdrew from all the shows he was appearing on. After a self-reflection period of about 1 year and 3 months, he returned in May with the OCN drama 'Beyond Evil'.
When Kim Gura asked if he still plays golf, Cha Tae-hyun replied, "I do play golf. These days, I don't play much because I don't have time, but I go when I have time."
Cha Tae-hyun revealed, "Because of the problems caused by golf, I couldn't go. What would I hear if I went there?"
He added, "At one time, I received a tremendous amount of comfort and support at the golf course. Even strangers cheered me on. It was very embarrassing."
