[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), Walkerhill Hotel & Resort has prepared a special package for this summer vacation when overseas travel is not possible.

On the 27th, Walkerhill announced that it will introduce two types of rooms that capture the vibes of ‘Hawaii’ and ‘Bali,’ popular summer vacation destinations, allowing guests to enjoy ‘roomcations’ (relaxing in hotel rooms while enjoying room service, etc.) and ‘hokangs’ (hotel vacations) at the same time.

First, the ‘Aloha in Vista’ package at Vista Walkerhill includes one night in a Vista Deluxe room and breakfast at The Buffet, featuring colorful decorations and props reminiscent of Hawaii. Using items prepared in the room such as palm trees, ukuleles, flower necklaces, and Hawaiian shirts, guests can take commemorative photos with family or friends, creating special memories and experiencing true aloha without having to travel long distances.

Additionally, the signature cocktail of Vista Walkerhill River is provided, offering a relaxed feeling like being at a resort. Free admission to the signature botanic garden ‘Sky Yard’ is also available, where guests can escape daily life by enjoying foot spas and sunbeds surrounded by the open view of the Han River and the exotic scenery of Sky Yard.

At Grand Walkerhill, the ‘Eat, Stay, Rest’ package inspired by the movie ‘Eat Pray Love’ is offered. The room is decorated with tropical plants and warm rattan furniture and amenities to evoke the local Bali atmosphere. Guests staying in the Bali room receive one night in a Grand Deluxe room and breakfast at The Buffet as standard, along with the bath additive ‘Sea Night Embracing Geoje’ for night swimming, which helps provide ample rest and healing.

This promotion runs until October 11. Prices start at 330,000 KRW for ‘Aloha in Vista’ and 220,000 KRW for ‘Eat, Stay, Rest,’ with taxes and service charges excluded.

Meanwhile, during a time when face-to-face contact is burdensome, room service is available to enjoy ‘Haesintang,’ a representative summer health food, in the room. Ondal’s Haesintang is a health-boosting dish for summer that harmoniously combines chicken, abalone, and octopus. When using room service, four basic side dishes and sujeonggwa (cinnamon punch) as dessert are provided, and orders can be placed between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. This service is available until August 31.
