[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Actor Song Joong-ki's side has taken a strong stance against dating rumors, while the YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute (Gaseyeon)' has sparked controversy by revealing the personal information of the woman involved.

Recently, Song Joong-ki was caught up in dating rumors spread through so-called 'jirasi' circulating on mobile messengers.

The jirasi contained rumors that Song Joong-ki was dating a lawyer working at a law firm, along with personal details of the lawyer, which led to the spread of the belief that she was Song Joong-ki's partner.

However, on the 11th, Song Joong-ki's agency HiSTORY D&C stated, "We strongly warn those who create and distribute baseless speculation and false information about Song Joong-ki. Indiscriminately spreading content unrelated to facts and amplifying it as if true is a clear illegal act," strongly refuting the rumors.

HiSTORY D&C added, "To protect Song Joong-ki's precious and fundamental rights, we will take civil and criminal actions against the original creators and distributors of the so-called 'jirasi' and malicious rumors about our artist, as well as malicious commenters who engage in slander," signaling legal action.

Despite Song Joong-ki's side's strong response, Gaseyeon revealed the real name of the lawyer through a broadcast on the same day.

Former entertainment reporter Kim Yong-ho claimed, "The woman involved in the dating rumors with Song Joong-ki belongs to a major domestic law firm. She is a former prosecutor turned lawyer," and added, "This law firm handled Song Joong-ki's divorce lawsuit. Among the three lawyers who handled the case, one senior lawyer invited junior A to a meal, where she first met Song Joong-ki."

Former reporter Kim Se-ui added, "A is my 10-year junior from high school. She married a fellow alumnus from the same high school but divorced either at the end of last year or early this year."

Previously, Song Joong-ki married actress Song Hye-kyo, whom he met through the 2017 drama 'Descendants of the Sun,' but they divorced in July last year.
