[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Samchully Bicycle announced on the 9th that it will promote the activation of electric bicycles by launching the city-type electric bicycle ‘Phantom Econ Plus’.
The new product is a city-type bicycle that emphasizes practicality by having only the essential functions in a minimal way. It is an upgraded version of Samchully Electric Bicycle ‘Phantom Econ’.
The biggest feature is the increase in power assist (PAS) levels from the existing 1 level to 4 levels. Users can freely adjust the amount of power support according to the situation and needs, making travel convenient. In addition, the 7-speed transmission system allows gear shifting according to the surrounding environment, enabling flexible speed control.
It combines the advantages of the ‘PAS method,’ which uses both pedaling and electricity for excellent battery efficiency and driving stability, and the ‘throttle method,’ which allows convenient riding powered solely by electricity.
It adopts a safety-proven lithium-ion battery and upgrades the battery capacity compared to the previous model. The new 7.8Ah seat post integrated battery can be fully charged in 3 hours and allows a maximum travel distance of 80 km, making it easy to commute to work or school as well as travel short distances without difficulty.
As a lifestyle electric bicycle aimed at popularization, it comes with basic practicality and user convenience. It is equipped with a basket and a luggage rack, allowing easy carrying of bags or items.
The LED display, which is easy to operate while riding, allows intuitive checking of the drive level. The battery charging and discharging port is positioned diagonally on the top of the battery to make charging easier.
The recommended retail price is 770,000 KRW.
