Eunpyeong-gu Tourism Hotels Offer Services at 70% Discount Through Agreement
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) has been providing convenience for families of overseas arrivals to temporarily stay at local tourist hotels starting April 7.
In the case of Eunpyeong-gu, about 70 overseas arrivals enter the district daily since April, and they undergo testing at the Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center's screening clinic and are required to self-quarantine at home for two weeks.
At this time, there was a practical issue where families had to arrange temporary accommodations when securing an independent space was difficult due to household circumstances.
To solve this problem, Eunpyeong-gu has partnered with two local tourist hotels (Prime In Seoul Hotel, Hotel CS Avenue) to offer families wishing to stay at hotels a service with up to 70% discounted rates.
The usage method is that overseas arrivals or their families can apply and use the hotel with guidance from Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center staff.
A district official said, “We will do our best to eradicate COVID-19 by thoroughly providing usage guidance and hotel disinfection so that families of overseas arrivals can stay conveniently and safely in安心숙소.”
