"4.48 Million Public Mask Supplies to Pharmacies and Hanaro Mart Today (Update)"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced on the 29th that it secured 7,165,000 masks from public supply and will distribute 4,480,000 of them nationwide on the same day through public sales outlets such as pharmacies and Nonghyup Hanaro Mart.

1,540,000 masks will be supplied to Daegu and Gyeongbuk (Cheongdo), designated as special infectious disease control areas, 2,180,000 to the metropolitan area, 610,000 to other regions, and 100,000 through public home shopping.

In the Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas, masks can be purchased at pharmacies and Nonghyup Hanaro Mart. In the metropolitan area including Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi, masks are available at pharmacies and Haengbokhan Department Store (Yangcheon-gu, Seoul).

In other regions, masks can be purchased at pharmacies, Nonghyup Hanaro Mart (including Incheon), and I'm Shopping (Busan Station branch). Nonghyup Hanaro Mart sells masks at all stores except those in Seoul and Gyeonggi.

Orders through public home shopping are available nationwide. Customers can place phone orders (080-258-7777, 080-815-7777) according to the broadcast schedule. The sales volume for the day by home shopping outlets is 100,000 at Haengbokhan Department Store and 40,000 at I'm Shopping Busan Station branch.

Since post offices are closed on Saturdays, the government expanded distribution through pharmacies (from 1,210,000 to 2,610,000 masks). They asked people to check the operating status of pharmacies through the Holiday Duty Pharmacy website (www.pharm114.co.kr) before visiting.
