[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Suseong District Office announced on the 18th that it has been selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's 'Smart City Integrated Platform Infrastructure Project,' the first in Daegu, and will receive 600 million KRW in national funding.
Accordingly, by the end of this year, the district plans to spend 1.2 billion KRW, including national and district funds, to link various information systems in fields such as crime prevention and disaster management to the integrated platform at the Suseong District CCTV Integrated Control Center.
Upon completion of this project, various information such as crime prevention will be organically shared with the police, fire department, and related agencies, which is expected to improve urban management efficiency.
Separately, Suseong District will also introduce an 'AI-based Smart Selective Control System' at the CCTV Integrated Control Center by June, investing 500 million KRW from city and district funds.
Kim Dae-kwon, head of Suseong District Office, stated, "We will analyze and systematize footage captured by CCTV to actively utilize it in district administration tasks such as traffic and disaster prevention, and make our best efforts to prevent crime through close cooperation with the police station."
