Famous Actor Suspected of Illegal Propofol Use Under Sibling's Name

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lim Juhyung] Amid ongoing prosecution investigations into suspicions of drug use among heirs of conglomerate families, allegations have emerged that a famous actor habitually used propofol under the name of his younger brother.

In particular, Chae Seungseok, the third son of Akyeong Group Chairwoman Jang Youngshin and former CEO of Akyeong Development, was also found to have used the name of this actor's younger brother.

On the 15th, 'Channel A' reported that the famous actor A allegedly used his younger brother's name to illegally receive propofol more than 10 times over several years.

According to the media, the hospital where A received propofol was a plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, which is also known to have provided propofol treatments to the vice chairman of company A, some businesspeople, and celebrities.

Former CEO Chae is also under prosecution investigation for allegedly using the actor A's younger brother's name to receive propofol.

Regarding this, an anonymous plastic surgery clinic official told 'Channel A' in an interview, "I heard that former CEO Chae, who has already been questioned by prosecutors, introduced this hospital to A."

The prosecution plans to investigate whether there are more individuals who have illegally used propofol in a similar manner at the hospital.
