[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Heo Midam] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon criticized former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, who is suspected of solving his son's exam questions on his behalf, by asking, "What kind of person are you?"
On the 2nd, Jin posted on his Facebook saying this and shared a past tweet by former Minister Cho.
On November 18, 2016, former Minister Cho shared a news report titled "Ewha Womans University professor directly made assignments for Jeong Yura's class" on his Twitter and wrote, "I am appalled."
According to the indictment submitted to the National Assembly on December 31 last year, the couple Cho is suspected of having answered the online exam questions for the course "Global Perspective on Democracy," which their son was taking, on two occasions: November 1 and December 5, 2016.
The prosecution believes that the couple received photos of the online exam questions from their son, solved them separately, and then delivered the answers, resulting in their son receiving an A grade. They applied charges of obstruction of business against George Washington University.
In response to this prosecution's judgment, Yoo Si-min, director of the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation, claimed on his YouTube channel "Alileo" on the 31st of last month, "According to the investigation, the exam (former Minister Cho's son) took was an open-book exam where any materials could be referenced."
Then, on the same day, former professor Jin posted on his Facebook, "Pfft, they say it was an open-book exam. This person’s sense of humor has matured. The excuse is quite adorable, isn't it?" thereby refuting Director Yoo's claim.
