TVXQ’s repackaged album tops album charts A scene from TVXQ's music video "Before U Go" [SM Entertainment]

TVXQ’s repackaged album has topped several weekly album charts in Korea, according to the group’s agency SM Entertainment on Monday.

A press release by SM revealed that TVXQ’s repackaged version of their album “Why (Keep Your Head Down)” that hit stores last Wednesday, placed first in terms of sales on several local weekly music charts including those of Hanteo and Hot tracks.

The album itself is composed of a total 14 tracks and its cover is made of acrylic frame that allows one to display one of the 54 postcards of the boys included in the album.

Earlier today, TVXQ posted a 16-minute dramatized version of the music video to the album’s title track “Before U Go,” an R&B tune about a guy who pleads the girl leaving him to at least remember him as a guy who had truly loved her.

The dramatized version which mixes TVXQ’s song other “Why” into the background, stars TVXQ members Max Changmin and U-Know Yunho as well as actor Choi Jong-yoon and actress Ara, and shows the story of friendship, love and betrayal between four friends who are agents at special government force NDI with few demonstrations of high action scenes.

“Before U Go” has already been staged at several televised music shows from last Thursday to Sunday including music cable channel Mnet’s “M! CountDown,” KBS’ “Music Bank,” MBC’s “Show! Music Core” and SBS’ “Inkigayo."

TVXQ, formerly composed of five members Hero Jaejoong, Mickey Yuchun, Max Changmin and U-Know Yunho, enjoyed high popularity throughout Asia as one the leading dance groups in K-pop scene since their debut in 2004.

However, after disputing with agency SM Entertainment over the unfairness of their 13-year exclusive contract, Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu halted their activities as TVXQ and instead formed trio JYJ. TVXQ is now a duo group led by two remaining members Changmin and Yunho.
