K-pop group TVXQ’s “Why (Keep Your Head Down,)” swept the top awards of both KBS and SBS's music shows over the weekend for the second time.
At KBS’ “Music Bank” on January 21, the powerful dance number beat Hyun Bin’s ballad “That Man” to secure first place for another week.
“We present this honor to the staff members at our agency and our ever-supportive fans,” said the boys in their acceptance speech at KBS’ live stage.
TVXQ expressed the same gratitude at the acceptance speech at SBS “Inkigayo” on Sunday upon receiving the Mutizen award and then then asked, "Who does this prize belong to?" to answer shortly after, "Cassiopeia!” Cassiopeia is the name of TVXQ's official fan club.
TVXQ which debuted in 2004 was formerly a five-member band featuring U-Know Yunho, Max Changmin, Xia Junsu, Micky Yuchun and Hero Jaejung until a legal struggle with agency SM Entertainment led the three latter members to separately form trio-band JYJ.
TVXQ is now a duo with U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin who returned after a two year-long hiatus but their comeback has been successful so far.
Meanwhile, other singers that appeared on "Music Bank" included SS501 member Park Jung-min who gave his first solo performance of his new song track “Not Alone,” as well as Mighty Mouth, G.NA, Navi, MBLAQ, TEEN TOP, Beige, Hangroo, Popsicle, Soul Quin, JQT, Dal★shabet, Gavy NJ, INFINITE, Piggy Dolls, Sunny Side Chang, Orange Caramel, Secret and others.
"Inkigayo" was also participated by popular singers including Park Jung-min, Secret, MBLAQ, Orange Caramel and JOO.
