Korean boy band TVXQ saw the highest number of albums sales last week, informed the idol group's agency SM Entertainment today.

SM announced through a press release Monday that TVXQ’s special edition of their new album “Keep You Head Down” which hit stores on January 5, took first place in terms of record sales on various music charts including Hanteo, Hot Tracks and Yes24.

The two-member group gave their comeback performance for their title track of the same name as their album on KBS' live music show “Music Bank” last Friday, taking to the stage for the first time in two years under the name TVXQ.

The regular edition of the boys' latest release, set to include a total of 11 tracks, one more than in the special edition, will go on sale on Wednesday. The same album is set for release in Japan on January 26.

TVXQ was formerly composed of five members Xiah Junsu, Hero Jaejung, Micky Yuchun, Max Changmin and U-Know Yunho, known as one of the leading dance groups in the K-pop market since making their debut in 2004.

However, after disputing with agency SM over the unfairness of their 13-year exclusive contract, Jaejung, Yuchun and Junsu halted their activities as TVXQ and instead formed trio JYJ. TVXQ is now a duo with members Changmin and Yunho.
